The Fastest and Easiest Way to DoubleCheck Your Priceline Re-Bid Zones

PRICELINE requires wait at least 24 hours between bids unless you are able to change one of the following:
1) Check-in/Check-out date
2) Lower Your Star Rating
3) Add a Zone to your Bid

Now the first two aren't always easy to change, but 'adding a zone' is where Priceline Re-Bidding comes into play... you can continue to add zones which only contain star levels lower than the zone you really want and still be assured of landing in your preferred zone. Here's how it works...

Go to PRICELINE and enter your city, dates, and click the 'Name Your Own Price' link. You'll then see a page which looks something like this PRICELINE ZONES page.

If you select the first zone you will see the star ratings available in that zone near the bottom of the page. You can then UNcheck that zone, select the next zone, and you will then see the star ratings available in that zone, and so-on and so-on for each zone. Zones which only contain star levels lower than your preferred zone are your re-bid zones.
(NOTE: re-bid zones must ONLY contain lower star rated hotels... if you're bidding 2.5* and a zone has no 2.5* hotels but does contain 3 star hotels, this is not a re-bid zone)

This 'trick' can prove to be quite useful, however, it can also be time consuming and can be prone to making a mistake; this site can confirm that you have figured out your re-bid zones correctly.

As well, priceline is constantly adding/removing hotels as well as upgrading/downgrading properties, so you need to check your priceline re-bid zones before EVERY bidding cycle. This tool can also be used to make sure that nothing has changed since your last bidding cycle and that the re-bid zones you previously used are still valid.
